From Tangled to Transformed to Transfigured!

Day 13

Have you ever looked at a ball of yarn? Have you ever seen a tangled barn of Yarn? If not yarn, then surely you have experienced tangled cords or even Christmas lights. If you have, then you know it takes dedicated and patient hands to untie, loosen, and straighten every strand to its normal, usable and straightened state.

Many of our lives are or have been at some time or another, just like a ball of yarn or tangled cords. We have found ourselves entangled in jobs, relationships, soul ties and other unhealthy situations that produce no life whatsoever. We typically try to hang on, fix it or otherwise tolerate and settle as we navigate the bumps and turns of life. Typically, for most of us, there comes a day where there isn't anymore you can do or anymore you can handle. Our Father anticipates these moments and just like a double- dutch jump-roper, He jumps in at the exact moment of our greatest weakness and needs.

Once the mending and healing begin we then go through so many emotions, mental battles and questions. It's literally going through the 5 stages of grief:

1. Denial

2. Anger

3. Bargaining

4. Depression

5. Acceptance

While going through stages 1-4, it may have seemed as if absolutely nothing is happening but the truth of the matter is that this is the time of Transformation!

Once we hit number 5, we get to the place of Transfiguration!

As nouns the difference between transfiguration and transformation is that transfiguration is a large change in appearance or form; a metamorphosis while transformation is the act of transforming or the state of being transformed.

Transfiguration – transform into something more beautiful or elevated. In the greek to metamorph or change into another form

In order to truly be purified, you must be transfigured. You = Mind Will and Emotion

You – ways, habits, lifestyle. You – attitude, mood, disposition. You – character, outlook, perspective. You – not your neighbor, your spouse, your children, your coworkers, not the heathen the unsaved or anybody else – today Jesus is talking about YOU – because we get so caught up in what everybody else is or is not doing but this day it’s about you.

2 After six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John with him and led them up a high mountain, where they were all alone. There he was transfigured before them.

Jesus Christ, the son of man, the son of God, the Holy One, the Trinity, the Rose of Sharon, the Bright and Morning Star, the Great I Am transfigured before them. So please know it applies to you!
